Underground is a snooker club in a basement in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, which is where the name comes from. I’ve owned it since early 2024, alongside my engineering work.

Snooker is one of the five sports I play, and owning a club means the table is never far away.

Running a small business next to a full-time job

A club is the opposite of software. Revenue is counted in table hours, the costs are rent and maintenance, and nothing scales by writing more code. It has taught me to look at a business through its unit economics: what one hour of one table earns, and what it costs to keep it open.
